Published release of the distribution kit Tribblix 41, based on the developments of the project Illumos. Illumos continues the development of the kernel, network stack, file systems, drivers, libraries, and a basic set of OpenSolaris system utilities. The project maintains the classic retro style of Solaris while using modern versions of the programs. The kernel and command line tools are borrowed from Illumos, and everything else is rebuilt using its own build system. SVR4 packages are used to distribute programs. Graphical environments such as Xfce, MATE, and Enlightenment are offered. Ready-made assemblies are generated for x86_64 systems.
The new version marks the transfer of vulnerability fixes from the Illumos project and update program versions. Updates include OpenSSH 10.4p1, JDK 26.0.2, nginx 1.30.4, go 1.26.5, git 2.55.0, Pale Moon 34.3.2, Python 3.13.14, and llvm 22.1.7. Additionally, a new pctgemini package has been added to the release.
