China’s pensioner fined on 22 thousand dollars for gardening

In the city of Shanghai, the power was fined on 22 thousand dollars of a 73-year-old pensioner for planting a garden. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the man, he hired workers to trim the branches of the camphor tree, which he planted about 20 years ago. The pensioner told that a two-meter plant was shaded, located near the flower garden.

The Chinese authorities considered the trimming of the tree by offense. Since the tree is alive and very high, they stated that the actions of the pensioner are “cutting” and fined it. The man noted that he did not understand why he was so “sternly punished,” since he was not going to cut a tree, which he himself and raised.

In February, the family in China paid a fine for “extra” children. Spouses started seven children so that they have a “perfect number”. The couple has already paid more than 1 million yuan fine (155 thousand US dollars).
