Indonesian Boeing 737 disappears after taking off from Jakarta

The aircraft, a Boeing 737-500 connecting the Indonesian capital and Pontianak, carried 62 people.

Indonesian company Sriwijaya Air flight SJ182 disappeared from radar moments after taking off from Jakarta, local media reported on Saturday January 9.

” Sriwijaya Air connecting Djakarta to Pontianak “on the island of Borneo” lost contact “shortly after 2:30 p.m. local time, 8:40 a.m. in Paris, transport ministry spokesman Adita Irawati reported. /

 Flightradar24 site, specializing in flight data analysis, claims that flight SJ182

The aircraft, a Boeing 737-500, was carrying 56 passengers and 6 crew members. In a statement, Sriwijaya Air says it needs to gather more information and will not comment immediately.
