Release Of User Environment Dux Shell 2.0

Published release of the user environment Dux Shell 2.0, which supports working on top of composite servers niri, Hyprland, Sway, MangoWC, labwc, Scroll, Aqueous and Miracle W.M. This is the first release since the DankMaterialShell (DMS) project was renamed Dux Shell. The new name is simpler, similar to the Tux penguin and does not include the name of another brand as part of the name. Dux Shell develops a set of interconnected components to form a desktop, such as a taskbar, a virtual desktop switcher, an interface for navigating through installed applications, and a configurator. The design complies with the concept of Material Design 3.

Dux Shell supports dynamic themes that are automatically applied to GTK, Qt and system applications. Color schemes for themes are formed taking into account the color of the selected desktop wallpaper. It is possible to enable night mode, as well as switch between light and dark design themes. The functionality can be extended via plugins. The background process code for integration with the system, tools and installer are written in Go and distributed under the MIT license. Interface components, panels, widgets and graphical applications prepared in QML using the Quickshell framework, written in C++ using Qt.
