Half of wealthy Americans began to fear for their future and the prospects of the national economy, the poll showed Bank of America , quoted by Bloomberg .

The study involved two thousand American investors with assets from 50 thousand to one million dollars. Half of them said that they had sharply worsened their own assessments of economic prospects compared to the beginning of the year.

38 percent of respondents have experienced insomnia due to financial setbacks and losses, 37 percent are worried about the growth of medical expenses, 80 percent noted that they began to save and use funds that they previously spent on leisure.

Bank of America analysts noted that the survey results confirm the general trend according to which many Americans, regardless of their level of wealth, are beginning to invest more actively, including through trading platforms, as well as interested in online education and research in the field of savings.

On December 22, Congress approved the allocation of an additional stimulus package for the US economy totaling $ 900 billion. Among other things, it provides for the allocation of assistance to citizens in the amount of $ 600 per person.
