Doctor explained danger of sleeping next to a smartphone

Physician-neurologist “CM-Clinic” Maria Ignatova explained in a conversation with agency “Prime” danger of sleeping next to a smartphone.

She noted that smartphones, like all gadgets, have radio frequency radiation, which is absorbed by the tissues of the human body and, as a result, negatively affects his health. The specialist said that, according to some research, radio frequency radiation increases the risk of infertility, cancer, neurological and mental disorders.

At the same time, children, pregnant women, as well as people with disorders of the cardiovascular, nervous, and immune systems are most sensitive to electromagnetic radio frequency fields. However, the doctor noticed that there is no reliable data on the negative effect of radiation from smartphones on the human body.

The most dangerous for the health of adults and children is the use of smartphones at night. So, blue light from the screen negatively affects the eyes, biological rhythms. In addition, it can cause insomnia, headaches, decreased performance, memory impairment.

To avoid negative consequences, the specialist advised to keep the smartphone at a distance of at least two meters from the place of sleep and rest.

Formerly a dermatologist from the Skin and Cancer Foundation at the Biologic Psoriasis and Nail Shyamalar Gunatheesan noted that the negative effects on human health from the use of technology are tantamount to sun damage. In particular, we are talking about blue light that comes from laptops, phones, tablets, TVs and LED lamps.
