Ukrainian residents will be fined for travel without masks, reports “Gordonua.com”.

The President Vladimir Zelensky signed a law that introduces fines for being in public premises and transport without masks. Thus, it is planned to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The fine will be 10-15 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (from 170 to 255 hryvnia).

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has set a new record for the number of people infected with coronavirus detected over the past day. As of Thursday morning, November 19, 13,357 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 583 thousand infected have been registered, 10 369 infected have died, over 266 thousand have been cured.
