Prada bags for hundreds of thousands of rubles were mistakenly priced at 1,400 rubles

Due to malfunctions on the Japanese version of the Prada luxury brand website, erroneously low prices were set on expensive bags for hundreds of thousands of rubles. The Independent reports.

So, the cost of some items from the new collections, in particular, sneakers and hats, was about three pounds (300 rubles). Clients of the brand began to make purchases and share screenshots of the site on social networks. For example, one user had two Saffiano leather bags in their shopping cart, each priced at £ 14 (RUB 1,415), despite the original £ 1,300 (RUB 131,480).

Another shopper shared images of a matte leather Cleo bag worth £ 18. It is noted that the model is currently priced at £ 1,440 (145,640) on the brand’s UK website.

According to the publication, it is not known whether customers were able to complete their purchases.

It is noted that on the same day, November 11, a message appeared on the brand’s page in Twitter about malfunctions. A day later, the brand said, “The price display issue that occurred in the official Prada online store has been resolved. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.”

Earlier in November, a cheap scarf from a “store for the poor” turned out to be a luxury item for 17 thousand rubles. For example, a woman visited a second-hand shop, where she found a black Alexander McQueen scarf, printed with white skulls and a monogram of the fashion house. According to the heroine of the material, she managed to get a scarf for only two pounds sterling (207 rubles).
