Biden will demand introduction of a general mask regime in United States before inauguration

Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden , considered the elected president, will demand from the governors of all states the introduction of a general mask regime even before his inauguration as head of state, reports TASS .

According to Biden, up to 200 thousand people may die in the country from complications caused by the coronavirus before he took office on January 20. He stressed that he will work with local authorities, regardless of their party affiliation, in order to ensure respect for social distance by citizens in all states. The democrat also stressed that wearing a mask is a manifestation of patriotism and concern for fellow citizens.

Earlier, Biden warned that the unwillingness of the US President Donald Trump accepting the 2020 election results could prevent the new administration from fighting the coronavirus. During a press conference in Delaware, Biden noted that the number of victims of coronavirus infection in the United States could be higher “if we do not coordinate our actions.”

On November 7, Democratic candidate Joe Biden won 290 with the required 270 electoral votes. Having secured his victory, he declared himself the President-elect of the United States. Trump, in turn, said that the elections are not officially over yet, and the results will be appealed in court. He believes that Biden was quick to call himself the country’s new leader.
