Trump has blocked defense budget

The US President Donald Trump vetoed the defense adopted by both chambers of Congress budget. This was reported by RIA Novosti citing the White House.

“I am returning the resolution. (…) It does not include critical measures necessary to ensure national security, includes clauses that do not respect our veterans and our military history, runs counter to my administration’s efforts to keep America’s interests at the fore in matters of our national security and foreign policy, “the American leader emphasized.

Trump has repeatedly promised to block the draft budget. He noted that China will benefit the most from the adoption of the resolution. The project also contains sanctions against the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline.

According to the President of the United States, the document must cancel Article 230 of the Law on Decency in Messages. Trump will stress that it endangers the country’s national security. According to this clause, social networks are not responsible for user comments, while they can edit them. Trump and his administration advocate holding services accountable for censorship.
