French scientists have created a device that is capable of destroying up to 93.5 percent of coronaviruses in the air. It looks like a medallion and should also be worn around the neck, reports the newspaper Le Parisien.
The company, located in the Yvelines department, originally specialized in anti-malaria development. Scientists have found that malaria mosquitoes fly on the molecules of human smell. Experts have created an apparatus, under the influence of which an electric field was created around a person, molecules fell to the ground, so mosquitoes could not find a victim by smell and were disoriented in space.
It was this development that the company modernized to combat the coronavirus. They added an ozonizer and a mineral to the device, the name of which is kept secret.
The novelty has already been approved at the Paris Institute of Pasteur. An experiment was conducted there, during which the device was placed in a closed room with a large amount of coronavirus. Within 10 minutes, it destroyed 94 percent of the viruses. Despite the fact that there was no virus in the room that causes an infection in people, scientists are confident that the gadget is able to cope with it.
The medallion will cost 79 euros (7000 rubles). Its battery lasts for 20 hours on a single charge. The company currently produces 400 units per day.
