Terminally ill nurse was declared absolutely healthy and ruined

In the British city of Wrexham, Wales, a terminally ill nurse was declared absolutely healthy and ruined her. The Daily Mail reports.

In July 2013, Catherine Jones underwent ovarian cyst removal at the same hospital where she worked as a nurse. She then underwent a biopsy. Based on the tests, doctors should have suggested that Jones get rid of the affected right ovary and undergo additional therapy. However, the doctors decided that the woman did not need further treatment.

Three years later, Jones had a relapse. To remove the cancerous tumor, the British woman underwent a hysterectomy. She was then mistakenly told that she had gotten rid of cancer and was completely healthy. In reality, the disease progressed and affected other organs. A few months later, in November 2016, Jones died.

For the past four years, her husband David has been trying to sue the hospital where his wife worked and was treated. All this time, company representatives claimed that they provided Jones with timely treatment. However, on November 20, at the preliminary hearing, it became known that the hospital finally apologized and admitted that Jones had a chance to survive if she received proper care.

Earlier in the UK, a nurse dying of cancer recorded a video in which she complained on medical errors. For three years Julie O’Connor could not be diagnosed with cancer. She was correctly diagnosed only when she consulted a private consultant. However, at that time it was already too late for treatment.
