An Environment Has Been Created That Allows You To Build C++ Applications For Windows, Linux, MacOS In Browser

A group of enthusiasts created the SDK Xenolith, which allows you to build full-fledged desktop applications directly in the browser. The system allows you to cross-compile graphical applications from any of the supported systems to any other. One of the supported systems is WebAssembly, so applications can be assembled for the browser, and assembled in the browser for any other platform. The project’s source code is written in C++ and is available under the MIT license.

The environment does not use proprietary Windows and macOS SDKs, instead, proxies are created from scratch from open source or clean room methods to build an application that will run on the target system. Without exception, all tools are assembled from source codes within the environment (assembly requires Linux and a compiler capable of building GCC 15.2, then the environment will assemble everything itself). online demo is available with a set of examples, including DOOM and a demo of Heroes of Might and Magic II, which does not require registration, works as a single page and does not communicate with the server (data is on AWS CDN).
