Published release of high-performance HTTP server and multi-protocol proxy Angie 1.12.0, a fork of Nginx by a group of former project developers who left the F5 Network company. Angie’s source code is available under a BSD license. The project has received certificates of compatibility with the Russian operating systems Red OS, Astra Linux Special Edition, Rosa Chrome Server, Alt and FSTEC versions of Alt. Based on Angie, a proprietary commercial product, Angie PRO, is being developed and included in the Russian software register.
Changes in Angie 1.12.0:
- The following features have been transferred from the commercial version of Angie PRO to the public open version:
- Balancing taking into account the average time of receiving a response header or a full response from proxied HTTP servers, as well as taking into account the average time of establishing a connection, receiving the first or the last byte of the response from proxied stream servers. Configuration is carried out using the least_time directive in the upstream block.
- The ability to bind sessions to proxied servers, allowing sessions to be detected and stored in the shared memory of the server. The feature is enabled by setting the learn mode in the sticky directive. Setting up the creation and search of sessions is carried out through variables, for example, sessions can be identified by the Cookie value.
- The “drain” mode has been added to the
