The company Basalt Open Source and the ANO Institute of Logic, Cognitology and Personality Development are hosting a competition for open source projects called “Code of Logic”. Developers who have made a significant contribution to existing open source projects released in a public repository under a free license are invited to participate. The competition is open to legally capable adult tax residents of the Russian Federation, in accordance with GOST R 54593-2011 and licenses approved by FSF and OSI.
There are 3 prize places available, with a maximum of 6 winners (one first place, no more than two second places, and three third places). The winner will receive one million rubles, the 2nd place winner will receive 500 thousand rubles, and the 3rd place winner will receive 300 thousand rubles.
Applications for the competition will be accepted until August 15, 2026. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 2-4 at the XXII Free Software Developers Conference. The IPlabs Linux Team, which was founded with support from the Institute of Logic, eventually became the foundation for ALT Linux.
