In Russia, they talked about management of RB-341V “Leer-3” traffic in Kazakhstan

Radio-electronic combat complex (RES) RB-341V “Leer-3” by creating a “fake base station” can intercept traffic management and user connections. This tells the “military-industrial courier” (MIC), referring to the general director of the analytical company Telecom Daily Denis Kuskov.

The publication notes that thus the RB-341B operator “Leer-3” gets “the ability to generate calls and SMS messages to all subscribers entering the zone of its action.”

According to data, RB-341B complexes “Leer-3” could be used in a recent counter-terrorist operation in Kazakhstan.

According to the President of the InfoWatch Group of Companies of Natalia Kasperskaya, RB-341B “Leer-3” drone (Orlan-10 used) simultaneously provide effective blocking of enemy mobile phones and retain the possibility of sustainable work of their devices.

“Theoretically, similar systems are able to even determine the number dialed in the area of the virtual base station, allowing their own and blocking other people’s calls. The developer does not exclude the possibility of remotely inclusion and turn off the user devices, however, in a very limited range of the zone,” assures Kasperskaya.

According to the MIC, transmitters with a power of two and ten watts, ensuring the operation of the “fake station”, can block the subscriber equipment of three mobile operators in the zone with a radius of action to six kilometers, which allows, in particular, to transfer information to two thousand subscriber terminals.

In September 2019, Izvestia wrote that the Russian RES RB-341V “Leer-3” will be able to find an enemy at a cell phone signal and bring drums on it.
