Windows 10 will be less common to update

Microsoft will go to the new Windows 10 update schedule. This is reported on the company’s website.

Representatives of the company announced the yield of the November Service Pack for the popular operating system. Microsoft says that the company goes to a new schedule of release of updates for Windows 10. So, engineers promised to provide annual updates for OS.

The material does not specify directly that updates will be less common, but the company noted that the following update containing new features will appear in the second half of 2022. Thus, the outdated operating system can update once a year. “We will continue to maintain at least one version of Windows 10 to 14 October 2025,” Microsoft representatives promised.

The statement also states that Windows 10 version 2004 will cease to be serviced on December 14, 2021. All copies of Windows 10 for enterprises and educational institutions of the 1909 will stop receiving support on May 10, 2022.

In late October, Microsoft stated that each update for Windows would have their own shelf life. Old OS, which are no longer relevant, will continue to receive all security updates once a month.
