Parents sold nine-year-old Afghans for food

Afghan Abdul Malik sold two of his daughters to get the family feeding. This is reported by CNN.

The publication became known that Malik was married his nine-year-old daughter named Parvan for a 55-year-old man. The girl herself is afraid that the chosen one who gave her parents will beat it and make it work around the house. Before that, Malik sold his older daughter, which was 12 years old.

“We have eight in the family. I needed to sell it to preserve the life of other family members,” the head of the family justified. He admitted that he was broken by a feeling of guilt, shame and anxiety.

As noted by human rights defenders, as the humanitarian crisis is deepened in Afghanistan, worsening with the coming to power representatives of the Taliban’s radical movement (prohibited in Russia), the practice of selling women for marriage becomes wide coverage. This happens everywhere, despite the ban to marry children up to 15 years. The population of Afghanistan goes to such steps due to lack of work and hunger.
