They wish to denounce “the failures of the State and the legal system” in the care of the cases of marital violence and femicides. Collective militants #noustoutes participated on Saturday, October 16th, Die-in in several cities, including Paris and Toulouse.

At the call of the name of each of the victims killed by their spouse or former spouse since the beginning of the year, 93 women dressed in black were lying on one after the other place of the Hotel-de-Ville , in Paris, to denounce the violence against women, found a journalist from the France-Press agency (AFP).

Each of them held a sign on which the name of the victim was written and his age. “Sixty-five percent of these murdered women had made contact with police or justice, but the public authorities have turned their backs,” denounced the collective.

“Death to Femicides”

In Toulouse, about thirty women, including a majority of young people, participated in the Die-in in the city center, behind the Capitol, before gathering behind a banner on which we could read: “Death to femicides “.

“The sexist and sexual violence towards all women and the LGBT community [Lesbian, gays, bisexual and trans] have not declined in recent years, on the contrary,” has launched a member of the collective to megaphone during of the Parisian gathering.

“It would be time to stop experimenting and putting in place public policies throughout the territory,” she called, requiring the unlocking of a one billion envelope of euros to finance a public policy to fight against sexist and sexual violence.

An increase in grants allocated to associations, a multiplication of emergency hosting structures and a generalization of devices, such as the serious danger, are also claimed by #noustoutes. In Toulouse, Malika Khelifa, spokesman for the Collective in Haute-Garonne, recalled that Spain was “an example”, including the means mobilized for this fight.

#noustoutes also called to demonstrate Saturday, November 20 in Paris and everywhere in France, as the movement does it every year in connection with the International Day to Combat violence against women (25 November). Forty steps are planned in the country.
