According to the newspaper, the administration of the American president notified some countries about its plans. However, official invitations have not yet been sent, a source familiar with the situation. The event will be dedicated to the high level of the regular session of the UN General Assembly, which is scheduled for the end of September.
It is assumed that Biden will announce the summit during appeal to the nation on the situation with the distribution of COVID-19. Part of the speech will concern additional vaccinations, which previously the US administration promised to be made available from September 20.
