The United States announced the introduction of sanctions against seven high-ranking officials of Russia due to the situation with Alexei Navalny (founder of the Anti-Corruption Fund, included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of organizations performing the functions of a foreign agent). The statement of the American authorities says that the sanctions list also includes 14 organizations from Russia, Germany and Switzerland with the wording “for the production of biological and chemical weapons.” At the same time, the names and names of organizations there have so far refused to disclose.
An administration spokesman also said that the US authorities have initiated an analysis of Moscow’s “destabilizing” actions in four areas. “We plan to provide an answer to each of them in the coming weeks … Today is the first step and the rest will follow,” he said.
