Number of coronavirus infections in world reaches 100 million

The number of detected cases of coronavirus infection in the world has reached 100 million. This is evidenced by data from the Johns Hopkins University project, leading statistics on the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the latest data, 100,032,461 are reported. Most cases of infection were recorded in the United States (25,335,606 people). India (10,676,838), Brazil (8,871,393), Russia (3,716,228) and the UK (3,700,235) also entered the top five.

Since the start of the pandemic, affecting 192 countries, 2,149,385 patients have died from complications of the coronavirus, most of them in the USA, Brazil and India.
