A woman tried to save life of a dying man and received a fine

A resident of the English city of Newbury, Berkshire, tried to save the life of a man who became ill in a car parking, and received a fine for exceeding the parking time, reports the Daily Star.

Gemma Hutt (Gemma Hutt) was in the parking lot and saw that the man had passed out. The woman rushed to his aid and began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation while awaiting the arrival of an ambulance.

While the Englishwoman was busy with the victim, the parking time she paid for has ended. As a result, the woman received a fine of 100 pounds (9.9 thousand rubles) from the parking operator Euro Car Parks.

She appealed and provided evidence of what happened, but the company refused to cancel the fine.

“I was told that the man had died and I was very upset about what happened. I thought that given the circumstances of what happened, I could have the fine canceled. £ 100 is a lot of money for me, especially at this time of year. I have two young children waiting for Christmas gifts, “Hutt said.

She noted that the man passed out next to the surveillance camera, so the parking staff had to see what happened.

Now the Hutt has to take antidepressants. She no longer uses parking because of painful memories of what happened.

Representatives of Euro Car Parks sent a letter to the woman, which said: “We carefully examined the evidence you provided and decided to reject your complaint.” The reason for the rejection of the complaint is that Hutt exceeded the parking time by 14 minutes and does not dispute this fact. The company stressed that the Englishwoman has 14 days to pay the fine, otherwise further sanctions will be applied to her.
