Nutritionists have listed ways to avoid overeating for New Year

Drawing up a menu for the New Year’s table, pauses during a feast and refusing to fast before the holiday will help Russians avoid overeating on the night of January 1, 2021. Such methods were listed in the comment ” Arguments and Facts ” interviewed nutritionists.

So, expert Julia Khokholkova advised citizens to correctly plan the composition of New Year’s dishes. “Prepare maximum dietary meals. Do not fry anything, give up a huge amount of sauces, salt and sugar. Replace salads with sausages and ham in the composition, for example, with beef tongue,” she urged.

Her colleague Andrey Nevsky advised Russians to refrain from eating before a feast, so how a hungry person does not notice how he eats too much. “Do not sit down at the table when the feeling of hunger rolls over. Check it out: drink a glass of water. Perhaps you were just thirsty. But if it is still hunger, then because of the water it will become less and you will not overeat,” the specialist recommended .

He also found it right to pause before and during the feast, switch his attention to other activities and chew slowly. “Track your satiety. Try to stop and leave room for dessert,” Nevsky advised. It should be borne in mind that sugary drinks and alcohol whet your appetite and quickly raise your blood sugar, he said.

If it was not possible to avoid overeating on New Year’s Eve, the body should be unloaded the next day, concluded Khokholkova.

Previously, nutritionists named the most nutritious New Year’s foods are salads dressed with mayonnaise, fried potatoes, cold cuts, confectionery, sweets, some types of chocolate, fried foods, sweet soda, as well as spirits such as vodka, cognac and whiskey.
