Release Of Composite Server Hyprland 0.57

Available Composite server Hyprland 0.57 using the Wayland protocol. The project is focused on tiling window layout, but also supports classic random placement of windows, grouping of windows in the form of tabs, pseudo-mosaic mode and full-screen opening of windows. The code is written in C++ and distributed under the BSD license.

Provides options for creating visually attractive interfaces: gradients in window frames, background blur, animation effects and shadows. Plugins can be connected to expand functionality, and socket-based IPC is provided for external operation control. Configuration is carried out through a configuration file, changes in which are picked up on the fly without restarting. The functions also include: dynamically created virtual desktops; modes of arrangement of elements on the screen; global processing of hotkeys; Gesture control on the touchpad/touch screen.

In new version:

  • Proposed 11 options shaders for blurring the background and the ability to create your own options through plugins.

  • Added the ability to broadcast the contents of the selected virtual desktop through a browser or video conferencing program.
  • A “wobble” effect has been implemented to inertly sway the window borders when moving it, as in Compiz.
  • New methods hl.reload_config() and hl.get_devices(), as well as the ability to connect event handlers for minimizing and changing the state of the window.
  • Added the “cursor:warp_on_monitor_change” setting for moving the cursor after switching to the desktop on another monitor.
  • Added setting “input:tablet:enabled” to control whether graphics tablets are enabled.
  • Added the “decoration:blur:proportional” option, which makes the blur intensity proportional to the surface transparency level.
