Turkey announced plans to produce Russian vaccine

The Turkish government is considering not only the supply of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine, but also its joint production. Such plans were announced by the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Mevlut Cavusoglu , his words are quoted by RIA Novosti .

Cavusoglu noted that cooperation with Russia on a vaccine against coronavirus is proceeding normally. “We are talking not only about a one-way delivery of a vaccine, we are also talking about a joint production of this vaccine, the work is going well,” the diplomat said at a press conference following talks with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov .

Earlier it was reported that Turkey refused to purchase Russian vaccine against coronavirus as it is not in accordance with good laboratory practice. However, soon the head of Ministry of Health of Turkey Fahrettin Koca denied this information and confirmed that in the case successful passage of the Russian vaccine laboratory practice in toxicology in the country will consider the possibility of its use.
