Nutritionist named life-threatening candy

Nutritionist Elena Solomatina in an interview with Vechernyaya Moskva called chocolates that can be life-threatening.

The specialist explained that chocolate is a superfood that regulates metabolic processes in the human body. It contains a large amount of antioxidants and helps in protecting the immune system. In addition, chocolate promotes the production of dopamine, endorphins and serotonin.

At the same time, the doctor noted that a large amount of chocolate heavily burdens the liver, and substitutes for some oil turn the product into a “chemical bomb”. Don’t buy sweets with trans fats as palm oil is poorly absorbed by the body.

According to Solomatina, chocolate can cause the development of vascular diseases, atherosclerosis and the appearance of blood clots. Also, cholesterol in the body rises and salt deposits form in the joints. Children should not eat such sweets.

When buying chocolate, the nutritionist advised to give preference to the product that contains natural ingredients, preferably dark.

In addition, there are norms in the use of chocolate. So, an adult can eat about 10 grams per day, and no more than three to four tiles per month. For a child, the norm is two to three times less. Because of the caffeine content, children should not be given dark chocolate.

Earlier, nutritionist Mira Ilic named the most useful chocolate. Chocolate is good for the heart, she says, thanks to the flavonoids in cocoa beans. Ilic encourages dark chocolate to be preferred as it contains the highest amount of flavonoid-rich cocoa beans.
