NATO declares no military threat from Russia

Secretary General NATO Jens Stoltenberg stated that there was no direct military threat from Russia. His words are conveyed by TASS .

As Stoltenberg noted, NATO does not see a threat posed by the state in the form of a military attack. At the same time, he added that Russia is using the country’s military power against neighboring territories, for example, Ukraine and Georgia.

Earlier in December, Stoltenberg answered to the question of what is the probability of using nuclear weapons by NATO members in response to the use of biological weapons by a certain country in an interview with the Berliner Zeitung. He was unable to accurately estimate this probability, noting that it depends on the specific case.

Among other things, Stoltenberg believes that there is still room for a meeting Russia-NATO Council (RNC). But, according to him, Moscow has not yet responded to the proposal of the North Atlantic Alliance to hold a meeting.
