The Ministry of Internal Affairs told about the condition of the dump truck driver during an accident near Moscow with a column of buses in which the military was traveling. Interfax reports.

According to the department, the man was not drunk during the fatal accident. It is noted that he was detained by law enforcement agencies. The head of the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Tatyana Petrova also said that the police opened a criminal case against the driver of a dump truck for violating traffic rules.

Earlier, the authorities of the Moscow region reported that 43 people were injured in the accident with the convoy of the Ministry of Defense.

The accident occurred on January 11 due to the fact that a dump truck collided with a column of buses carrying military personnel. Four people were killed. Two of them were 19 years old, two more were 20. All of them served as privates. The cause of the accident was that the driver, 26-year-old Ivan G., lost control. He said that at the time of the accident he was “rubbing something”, which caused him to distract himself from the road.
