FreeBSD Project Announced Migration to Git in Coming Days

The FreeBSD Project announced to start migrations the main source repository from the Subversion centralized source management system to the decentralized Git system.

If no unexpected changes occur, SVN repository calls will be redirected to the stub for deployment Git December 20 at 1 am (MSK). At 6 a.m. (MSK) on December 20, the last commit to SVN will be made, after which access to SVN will be immediately closed and the process of converting the current SVN repository to Git will start. In about a day, the Git repository will be distributed to mirrors . The Git check-in will open on December 22 at 2 pm (MSK).
