Girl explained losing weight by 44 kilograms in two years

The Australian spoke about how she managed to lose 44 kilograms in less than two years. The Daily Mail writes about it.

Santia Efthymiou (Xanthia Efthymiou) got fat while still in school. By the last grade, she weighed 114 kilograms and gorged on fast food burgers every day. The girl thought about losing weight when, due to being overweight, she started having back pain. “I went to the doctor and found that I gained another 20 kilograms in a year,” she recalls. “They told me that if I continued to gain this weight, I would have serious health problems.”

Santia understood that in order to lose weight, she needed to change her diet and increase physical activity, but it was not easy to take the first step. “I was always afraid to play sports in public,” she explains. “It seemed to me that people would hear my heavy breathing, understand how untrained I am, and think badly of me.”

The Australian woman started her classes with long walks. Five times a week, she walked four kilometers a day and thus lost the first ten kilograms. After that, the girl began to visit the gym three times a week for high-intensity interval training. She later switched to free weights five times a week.

To speed up her weight loss, Santia ditched fast food in favor of a balanced and healthy diet. To get rid of the craving for a snack that haunted her, she chose voluminous dishes that fill the stomach and satisfy the feeling of hunger for a long time. After 22 months, she lost 70 kilograms.

Earlier it was reported that a resident of the English city of Wallingford, Oxfordshire, hiding dependence on fast food from friends, managed to get rid of bad food habits and lost 44 kilograms without going to the gym. She put a calorie counter on her phone and gradually reduced her calorie intake to 1200 calories a day.
