Introduced release of the distribution kit OpenWrt 25.12.6, developed for network devices such as routers, switches and access points. OpenWrt supports over 2200 devices and offers a build system that makes it easy to cross-compile and create your own builds. Such assemblies allow you to create ready-made firmware with the desired set of pre-installed packages, optimized for specific tasks. Ready builds published for 41 target platforms.

- WPA3 settings have been changed to comply with the recommendations specified in the WPA3 specification:
- By default, support for the GCMP-256 cipher and the SAE-EXT-KEY key management algorithm is disabled in sae (WPA3-Personal) and sae-mixed (WPA2/WPA3) modes.
- When frame protection mode is active (PMF / 802.11w), the Beacon Protection mechanism is enabled by default, designed to protect against active attacks on the wireless network that manipulate frame changes Beacon.
- Added a new compatibility mode with WPA3-Personal – sae-compat, allowing WPA2 clients to continue using the WPA2 network, but transferring clients with RSN (Robust Security Network) support to WPA3.
- Added transition_disable option to prevent clients from rolling back to old security modes on a network with WPA3.
- Support has been restored in the wifi-scripts package 802.11ad (60 GHz) and the multicast_to_unicast option has been adjusted.
- The “sendclientid” option has been added to the DHCP client to override the DHCPv4 and DHCPv6 client ID.
