New Version Of Brython 3.15, Python Implementation For Web Browsers

Available project release Brython 3.15.0 (Browser Python) with an implementation of the Python 3 programming language for web browsers, allowing the use of Python instead of JavaScript for developing scripts for Web. The Brython 3.15 branch provides compatibility with CPython 3.15 and implements most of the new features of this release, including lazy import of modules, frozendict and sentinel types, and the * and ** operators for unpacking list inclusions. The project code is written in Python and distributed under the BSD license.

By connecting the libraries brython.js and brython_stdlib.js, a web developer can use the Python language to define the logic of the site on the client side, using Python instead of JavaScript. To include Python code on pages, use the tag

Execute Python code from blocks

The final performance of most operations in Python scripts embedded in web pages is close to the performance of CPython. The delay occurs only at the compilation stage, but to eliminate it, the ability to load pre-compiled JavaScript code is provided, which is used to speed up the loading of the standard library (Brython provides a toolkit for creating JavaScript libraries based on Python modules).
