The ArtCraft project has published clones of seven popular Adobe applications – Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, Acrobat Pro, After Effects and InDesign, recreated in the Rust language using AI tools. It is stated that currently more than half of the functions are implemented in most applications, and 80% of the functionality of original products is available for individual programs. They plan to achieve parity in functionality within a month. The project code is developed under the Apache 2.0 license – Photocraft (Photoshop), Vectorcraft (Illustrator), Filmcraft (Premiere), Lightcraft (Lightroom), Printcraft (Acrobat Pro), Effectcraft (After Effects), Designcraft (InDesign). Assemblies are generated for Linux (AppImage, Flatpak, deb, rpm), macOS, Windows and for working via the Web. More than 70 participants joined the development of the Photoshop clone and the project received about 20 thousand stars on GitHub.
Photocraft (Adobe Photoshop) – only basic functions are present, for example, 60 out of 133 settings are stubs, 3 tools are fully implemented and 14 are partially implemented (13 are not implemented).

Vectorcraft (Adobe Illustrator) – 69-75% of Illustrator’s capabilities are stated (40-55% of surveyed users could not name the differences). The tools for drawing, working with contours, creating shapes, filling, and working with text are close to being ready. Supported formats include SVG, PDF, PDF/X, EPS, DXF, EMF/WMF, PSD and PDF-compatible .ai files. There is no support for 3D, materials, raster effects and scripting.
