SpliX 2.0.2 Driver Released for Samsung, Xerox, HP Printers

After more than two years since the last release formed the release of the project SpliX 2.0.2, developing a driver for laser printers from Samsung, Xerox and HP, which supports the SPL (Samsung Printer Language) page description language, in which the document is processed before printing on the user’s computer, and the final layout is sent to the printer. SPL2 and SPLc compatible printers are supported, which includes almost all low-cost Samsung laser printers and some Xerox, Dell, Lexmark, HP and Toshiba printers that use Samsung technology. The driver code is written in C++ and distributed under the GPLv2 license.

In the new version:

    • Samsung ML-1670, ML-1860,
    • Samsung SCX-3400,
    • Samsung M262x 282x, M267x 287x, M283x
    • Xerox Phaser 3020, 3052, 3260,
    • Xerox WorkCentre 3025, 3215, 3225.
  • Identifiers (1284DeviceID) of Samsung and Xerox printers have been transferred from Fedora Linux.
  • Added support for duplex mode on the Samsung SCX-4521F printer.
  • Added support for additional page sizes to the ULD driver.
  • Solved problem with printing on A5 sheets on Samsung ML-15×0, ML-16×0, ML-17×0, ML-225x and Phaser 3117 printers.
