Memtest86+ 8.10, the latest version of a program designed for testing RAM, has been released. This program is independent of operating systems and can be initiated directly from the BIOS/UEFI firmware or the bootloader to perform a comprehensive RAM check. In case of any issues detected, the built-in map of bad memory areas in Memtest86+ can be utilized in the Linux kernel by using the memmap option. The project code is distributed under the GPLv2 license.
