The Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) won the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday 1 er May in Jerez, in front of the French Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha). The Spaniard Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) completes the podium.

Spaniard Alex Rins (Suzuki), coleader of the world championship before the race, finished out of the points, which places Fabio Quartararo, reigning world champion, now alone in mind in the world championship ranking MotoGP. The Frenchman had won his first victory this season at the Grand Prix of Portugal, at the end of April.
