Igor Sysoev, the creator of the high-performance HTTP server nginx , quit from the company F5 Network, in which, after the sale of NGINX Inc, there was among the technical executives of the NGINX project. It is noted that care is due to the desire to spend more time in the family and engage in personal projects.
Igor founded NGINX in 2002 and before the creation of the company NGINX INC in 2011 practically alone engaged in all development. Since 2012, Igor removed from the routine code writing and the main work on the accompaniment of the code base picked up Maxim Dunin, Valentin Bartenev and Roman Harutyunyan. It is noted that after Igor’s care from the project, the culture and approach to development created with his participation will remain unchanged, as the relationship to the community, transparency of processes, innovations and an open code will not change. The remaining development team will try to fit the high plank claimed by Igor.
