Johnson promised to British as much as possible to use Brexit

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson promised to make the most use of the possibility of entering the Kingdom of the Community (Brexit). The corresponding appeal policy is published on the British state portal GOV.UK.

Johnson noted that January 1, 2022 marks the year from the date of entry into force of a trade and cooperation agreement between the EU and Great Britain. Since then, the British government has already taken a number of effective measures, in particular, established a new system of immigration based on points. Also, the United Kingdom held the fastest vaccination campaign, the document says.

Johnson stressed that the purpose of the authorities is to continue to use Brexit so that Britain can flourish as a modern, dynamic and independent country.

Great Britain officially left the European Union on February 1, 2020. The parties agreed on the transition period by the end of the year, during which most EU laws continued to act in the United Kingdom. If London and Brussels did not have time to conclude a new trade agreement until the end of December, the United Kingdom would cease to be part of the overall European market, which would lead to the introduction of customs borders between the country and the EU. The transition period ended on January 1, 2021.
