The president can be dismissed with the post of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly in the event of a systematic or gross violation of the Constitution or the commission of the Government or another grave crime. Such conditions of resignation of the president are established in the project of the new Constitution of Belarus.
it clarifies that the proposal to displaced the President from office should be made by the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly on the initiative of at least one third of the total composition of the Chamber of Representatives or at least 150 thousand citizens of the republic with election law.
The decision on the resignation should be made after receiving the conclusion of the Constitutional Court on the facts of the systematic and gross violation of the Constitution. In addition, most votes need the full composition of the All-Relforous People’s Assembly. If the decision is not accepted within two months from the date of the proposal, it will mean the deflection of the charge.
Earlier, a draft amendments and additions to the Constitution of Belarus for National Discussion was published.
The project, in particular, excludes military aggression by Belarus against other states. In addition, it is proposed to ban the financing of elections by foreign citizens and organizations. It also establishes that one and the same face can not be president more than two deadlines in a row.
