France: estimated likelihood of closing borders due to a new strain

In France, do not plan to close borders within the European Union due to the distribution of Omicron-strain COVID-19. This was stated by the State Secretary of EU Affairs at FMO France Cleman Bon on Radio France Inter.

“We will wait, how the situation will develop, but in Europe we have never completely closed the borders, because it is our space for life, not only for tourism, but also for work,” assessed the state-owned probability of introducing new international restrictions.

According to him, such tools such as PCR tests, sanitary pass and vaccination still help to restrain the spread of COVID, including new strains of infection.

To date, due to the Omicron strain for foreigners, the boundaries of Israel and Japan closed. The World Health Organization said that the Omicron strain with a high probability would spread all over the world.
