In addition to the package with a kernel from RHEL (based on kernel 4.18), Oracle Linux proposed a private Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel 6 core, based on the Linux 5.4 kernel and optimized to work with industrial software and Oracle equipment. The source texts of the kernel, including broken down on individual patches, are available in public Git repository Oracle. The Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel core is set by default, positioned as an alternative to a regular package with the RHEL core and provides a number of advanced features, such as DTRACE integration and improved support for BTRFS.
