India’s authorities warned about danger of a new strain COVID-19 “Delta Plus”

The Ministry of Health of India warned the power of the densely populated states of Maharashtra, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh about the danger of the newest strain of COVID-19, called “Delta Plus”. The corresponding document appeared on the website of the press service of the Indian government.

According to the results of the research, which provided the Indian Consortium on the genomics of SARS-COV-2 (Insacog), a new version of the virus “causes anxiety”, since it is characterized by a high propagation rate and the ability to stronger lung cells. Scientists suggest that “Delta Plus” can even “escape” from vaccine or antibodies.

In connection with these authorities, a number of cities recommended strengthening antique measures, as well as increase the volume of testing and vaccination of the population.
