According to Quest Diagnostics for 2020, the number of such employees has reached record indicators. So, the study of seven million tests showed that almost three percent (2.7 percent) of the total number of its participants, or 189 thousand people, use marijuana. Back in 2019, a similar study revealed 2.5 percent of these employees, and in 2016 – two percent.
Marijuana receives widespread distribution in the United States, since many states legalize her use. As a result, some employers began to skip the testing of workers to cannabis to qualify for a vacancy could have a greater number of people. However, there are areas of activity where checks are necessary: for example, this is a public transport service or on the railway.
