Published release of Thunar 4.17.0 file manager with a focus on providing high speed and responsiveness, combined with providing an easy-to-use, intuitive and non-frustrating interface. The Thunar 4.17 branch is marked experimental and is being used to build functionality for a future stable release of Thunar 4.18, which will be offered with Xfce 4.18 ( graph Xfce 4.18 development is not yet approved).
Among changes :
- Added Split View Split View allowing two different file tabs to be displayed side by side .
- Added a submenu with user-defined actions
- Proposed a new unified menu for sorting.
- By default, all available disk partitions are shown.
- Added a column with the creation time to the file list view and to the parameter detail screen.
- Operation progress dialog has been improved.
- Added option to deselect all files.
- Added a switch to enable shell scripts to run.
- Added a mode for changing the direction of sorting files.
