COVID-19 Patient Tells Relatives “I’m Not So Bad” And Dies

In the English city of Grimsby, Lincolnshire, an 89-year-old COVID-19 patient died hours after telling his family that he was “not so bad.” His story was shared by Metro.

The son of the late Jim Moy, Michelle claims that the man did not leave the house for a long time. He only went to the hospital once to undergo an examination. He was accompanied by his son but tested negative for COVID-19.

On Saturday, October 14, Jim contacted his relatives for the last time. He made a video call from a hospital bed and said that he was feeling well. A few hours later, the patient’s family received a call from the hospital and was told that he had a few minutes to live. Relatives were unable to contact Jim and were unable to come, as they were forced to comply with quarantine.

Michelle admits that she has no idea how to organize a funeral. The deceased’s wife and his daughter are infected with COVID-19 and cannot leave the house until they recover. The grandson and great-grandson live in Scotland and cannot come due to restrictions imposed due to the pandemic. “We are all in tears, because nothing can be done. It’s a nightmare,” the Englishman described the situation.
