The Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko assessed the state of the bed fund for patients with coronavirus infection. His words are conveyed by TASS .
According to Murashko, currently the free bed fund is 24 percent. Commenting on the current situation, the head of Ministry of Health urged citizens to comply with anti-epidemic measures – wear masks, adhere to recommended social distance, try not to visit crowded places and promptly seek medical help in case of deterioration of health.
Earlier, the head of the department noted that the situation with the spread of coronavirus in the country in generally stabilized during the New Year holidays. Nevertheless, according to him, the situation is still tense, daily coronavirus infection COVID-19 is diagnosed in about 24 thousand Russians. At the same time, only 211.6 thousand citizens are in hospitals, 82 percent of patients are treated on an outpatient basis.
Over the past day in Russia recorded 24,217 new cases of coronavirus infection, most of all in Moscow and St. Petersburg. 445 patients died. Another 23,055 people were discharged from hospitals.
