Earlier, Trump’s supporters clashed with police near the Capitol in Washington. The police used tear gas and non-lethal weapons to disperse them, several people were injured. Protesters burst into the building and surrounded the Senate hall. The Senate and House of Representatives suspended the meeting. Later, one of the protesters was shot in the chest in the building of the American Congress. Trump himself urged supporters to act peacefully and support the police.
