Stolen intimate photos of favorite of Thai king posted on Internet

Opponent of the Thai monarchy, Pavin Chachavalpongpun, has posted on the Internet intimate photos stolen from King Sininat’s favorite Wongwajirapakdi. The Daily Mail reports.

Chachawalpongpun claims he received an envelope in August containing an anonymous note and an SD card containing hundreds of Sininat’s selfies. Judging by the stamps, it was sent from France. Other Thai opposition activists living overseas have also reported receiving similar letters.

The photographs date from 2012, 2013 and 2014 and appear to have been addressed to the king Mahe Vachiralongkornu Rame X. In some shots Sininat is completely naked, in others she is only partially stripped. In many of the pictures she shows her armpits.

Photos could have been stolen from Sininat’s phone while she was in prison. Journalist Andrew McGregor Marshall, who has covered the lives of Thai monarchs for many years, believes that the leak could have been organized by courtiers who sympathize with Sininat’s rival, Maha’s wife Queen Suthide.

Sininat was appointed a noble royal consort in July 2019. After only three months, she found herself in disgrace: was accused of violating command and deprived of title, and also took away the rank of major general and all military awards. It was argued that the reason for the disgrace was her court ambitions and conflict with Queen Suthida.

After the resignation, the former favorite did not appear in public for a long time. In Thailand, there were rumors that Sininat was killed or died. In fact, she was thrown into Lat Yao Women’s Prison for almost a year. Maha reversed his decision and returned the title to Sininat only in September 2020. After that, she was released and taken to Germany in a private plane, where the monarch and his mistresses waited out a> a pandemic of a new coronavirus infection.

Since her return from prison, Sininat has visited various provinces in Thailand to increase the popularity of King Mahi Wachiralongkorn Rama X. This happened against the backdrop of months of student protests, during which demand to reform the monarchy. In every region, the queen’s rival performed in local traditional dress.

Suthida is the fourth wife of the 68-year-old king, a former flight attendant and head of his personal security. The marriage was concluded in May 2019. Maha was previously married to his cousin Mom Luang Soamsawali Kitiyakara, actress Yuvadhide Polpraset and commoner Srirasmi Akharaphongprichu.
