Wife feeds husband with a dish prepared by his late mother 10 years ago

A New Yorker, USA, fed her husband with a dish that his late mother cooked 10 years ago, reports the NDTV edition.

Grandson Eric Kim (Eric Kim) said that his mother saved in the refrigerator a jar of gochujang made by her mother-in-law 10 years ago. Gochujang is a traditional Korean soybean rice paste seasoned with red pepper.

Kim’s mother wanted to surprise her husband and served the dish for dinner. “She called it a ‘time capsule’,” the author of the post noted.

“My father commented that it was a strange feeling to try again a dish he thought he would never try again. Grandma’s gochujang is less sweet than the one in the store. It tastes especially good when mixed with barley rice. or use as a sauce for fried chicken. I can’t believe he’s ten years old, “- said Kim.

His post went viral and made users share their memories of special meals.

Previously it was reported that a resident of the US city of Youngstown, Ohio, received a happy birthday card that her late mother sent back in 2015. “I looked at the handwriting and realized that the message was written by her. My mother died in 2018,” the woman said.
